Windows Cape Coral puts in, swaps out and fixes windows and sliders for Cape Coral homeowners and a few nearby Lee County towns. Window and door work is the heart of the business.
A window looks simple, but setting one properly into a block opening, to an approval drawing, sealed so that sideways summer rain stays out, is a trade on its own. We treat it that way, with the same care on a single bathroom window as on a whole canal-front house.
What a job with us looks like
It starts with a phone call, not a sales pitch. We ask what is going on, how many windows, and roughly where the house is, then book a time to measure that suits you. We never knock on a door without an agreed appointment.
At the measure we go through each opening on your list: its size, the right style, the state of the frame, buck and nearby stucco, and whether the room needs an escape-sized window. We note which way each wall faces, because that decides where Low-E glass earns its cost. Then we go away and write the quote properly rather than scribbling a number on the doorstep.
Each opening gets a separate entry on the quote showing its dimensions, window type, frame finish, glazing, approval number and installed cost. Anything extra, such as buck replacement or stucco work, is listed separately so it can’t appear later as a surprise. If you want to compare impact glass against shutters, we price both.
The paperwork side
Every window replacement in Cape Coral needs a permit, and the paperwork is easy to underestimate. We prepare the permit application with the product approvals and an opening schedule, submit it to whichever office covers the address (the City of Cape Coral, Lee County, Fort Myers or Bonita Springs), and book the inspections. The inspector checks anchors, sealing and the product labels, which is why the product stickers remain in place until the final sign-off. After that we peel them and clean every pane.
Install day
Most homes are done in one or two days. Floors get covered, we tackle one room at a time so you are never left with a row of open holes, and every opening is closed before we leave. We haul the old windows away. At the end we walk through every window with you: it opens, closes, locks, and the sill is clean.
Why the Cape needs its own approach
The Cape is unlike a typical Florida suburb. Its canal network runs for hundreds of miles and puts salt spray on a huge number of homes. Its housing went up in waves from the 1960s on, so you get every generation of builder window in one neighborhood. And it sits right where Hurricane Ian came ashore in 2022, which left most owners with firm views on storm protection.
That shapes what we recommend. Coastal-grade hardware for canal lots. Low-E on west-facing walls that bake every afternoon. Impact glass for anyone who would rather not hang panels in August. And honest advice when a repair is all you need.
Who is behind the company
The business belongs to a married couple who live and work in Cape Coral. They set it up in 1998, long before the post-Ian rush of out-of-town crews, and they still run it day to day. When you call, you are dealing with the owners’ own company rather than a sales office that hands your job to whoever is free.
The husband holds the Florida certified building contractor license himself and has kept it current since 2007. A building license covers structural work as well as windows, which matters when an opening needs a new header or a rotten buck has to come out. It also means the person who signs the permit answers for the result.
Much of the work today is whole-house storm upgrades: rows of impact windows, a new lanai slider, sometimes an impact front door in the same project. PGT units turn up on a lot of those jobs, though the brand is always your choice and is written on the quote. Owners mention the tidy finish as often as the glass, and that is a habit we intend to keep.
What you can count on
- Time to decide. Your written quote stays valid long enough to compare and think it over.
- Products approved for your exact opening sizes and the wind zone your home sits in.
- Openings kept at their full size, with every unit built to fit them.
- Honest talk about power bills and insurance premiums, which depend on your home and your insurer.
- A fair payment schedule: the deposit covers the windows we order, and the balance is due after the final inspection.
Where we work
Every part of Cape Coral, Cape Harbour and the Yacht Club through to the newer streets beyond Burnt Store Road, plus nearby Lee County towns: Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Matlacha and Pine Island, and Bonita Springs for larger projects.
