New window installation in Cape Coral usually runs $800 to $1,700 per opening for an impact unit set into a ready opening. Cutting a new opening into an existing block wall is a separate structural job, typically $2,500 to $6,000 before the window itself.
New installation is different from replacement. There is no old unit to remove, but the opening must be framed correctly before the window goes in: square, plumb, the right rough size, with a buck that can take the anchors. We work alongside your builder or general contractor on that, or handle it ourselves on smaller remodels.

Jobs we take on
- New homes. Empty lots across the north half of the Cape keep filling with new block homes. We supply and set the full window and slider package to the builder’s schedule.
- Additions and lanai enclosures. A converted lanai or a new bedroom wing needs windows that match the rest of the house and meet code.
- New openings in old walls. A dark kitchen, a hallway with no daylight, a bedroom that needs an escape window. We cut the block, form a header, set the buck and finish the stucco around it.
- Bigger openings. Widening a window into a slider or a wall of picture glass, with the header sized by an engineer.
Working from plans
Send us the window schedule from your plans and we quote each unit by size, style, glass and approval number. If a size on the plans doesn’t match a product that is approved for that opening, we flag it before anything is ordered, not after it arrives on site.
Cutting into block
A new opening in a concrete block wall needs a structural lintel above it, and the cut has to avoid any filled cell that carries steel. We have an engineer confirm the header, pull the permit, and plan the cut so that only one room is dusty for a day. Expect a few days start to finish once the window is on site.
Glass for new rooms
New rooms are a good moment to get the glass right from the start. Most of our new-build packages specify impact glass throughout with Low-E on the sunny elevations.
New-installation figures are estimates based on average Cape Coral jobs, not a quote. Structural openings vary with wall height, header size and finish work.

New installation questions
Do you work with builders?
Yes. We supply and set window packages for owner-builders and general contractors, and coordinate the window inspection with them.
Can you add a window to a block wall?
Yes. We cut the opening, install an engineered header, set the buck and window, and patch the stucco. It needs a permit, which we handle.
What is the timeline for a new-build package?
Lead time depends on the manufacturer. Setting a typical home’s windows is a one- to three-day job once the openings are ready.
Can new windows match my existing ones?
We match style, frame color and grid pattern as closely as the current product lines allow, and show you a sample first.
